SEND is projecting three to four total home builds in the Norwood neighborhood by the end of 2021 and has received funding for a total of seven in Norwood projected by the end of 2022. Four of these homes are funded with HOME funds from the City of Indianapolis and three are funded by INHP. These home construction efforts will support a TANC neighborhood that has seen vacant properties and empty lots for many years, causing increases in issues such as illegal dumping to be major issues for neighbors. Norwood neighbors are excited about the planned construction as well as the expanded opportunity for affordable housing options.
